Kevin Brown is president and co-founder of Visionary Trainers Inc., one of the largest in-home personal training companies in the tri-state area. Kevin was recently named a fellow on the prestigious National Board of Fitness Examiners, helping to set the standard for all Personal Trainers. Kevin is also is the creator of LiberationFitness.com, an online interactive fitness website which provides exercise, diet, and health information to people around the world at an affordable price. Kevin regularly speaks on the topics of health and fitness throughout the U.S. and Canada and has spoken on national radio and television about the benefits of real food and regular exercise. He often lectures for medical and dental professionals about good nutrition and the important role it plays in disease prevention. Kevin is the author of the Liberation Diet, a groundbreaking nutrition plan that has proven to help many people become truly healthy, thin and empowered for long term healthy lifestyles! Annette Presley, Chief Nutritionist
Annette provides the Liberation Fitness™ Program with expert, unique diet plans. Her nutritional know-how means that the Liberation Program diet is both effective and scientifically sound. Annette has been a registered dietician for over 15 years, with a degree in Nutritional Science from the prestigious California State University, Los Angeles. She’s had years of experience coaching heart attack victims back to health and using nutritional guidance to improve the well-being of even the sickest patients. For the last eight years, she’s focused primarily on wellness, through her business Find Your Weigh. She’s also a certified personal trainer.
Most recently, Annette has done an extensive review of current nutrition research and found that most of our national nutrition policies are based on false information and very poor data. Annette states, "In this country, we have developed obesity, heart disease, diabetes and other illnesses while consuming a diet that is low in total fat and saturated fat and excessively high in carbohydrates. It should be obvious by now that the food guide pyramid and low fat diets aren’t working. We need to return to the diet our ancestors ate before the invention of processed food."
Annette is a chapter leader for the Weston A. Price Foundation, and along with them, is committed to providing accurate nutrition information so people can live a full and abundant life; out of nursing homes and hospitals and off medication.
Scott Hartman, Certified Exercise Specialist
Scott is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as an Exercise Specialist. He has a Masters Degree in Exercise Science from East Stroudsburg University and over 12 years experience. Scott has enjoyed training clients in various wellness facilities throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. His primary focus has been training for weight-loss and health. He’s also an expert in sport-specific athlete training. He has always followed the philosophy of promoting safe, effective and enjoyable exercises that promote personal benefit and goal attainment that clients can maintain for a lifetime. Regular, moderate intensity exercise is the safest approach and affords the best opportunity to improve health status, decrease healthcare costs and improve the sense of well-being. Scott’s undergraduate degree – a Bachelor’s degree in Wellness – is from Rutgers University.
Janet Marsh Demeter, Staff Writer
Janet has had over 20 years experience as a distance runner; an exercise enthusiast, she has studied Martial Arts, Pilates, and dance. She has also studied nutrition and nutritional healing, most intensely following a biking incident with a car breaking both legs to ensure a complete and rapid recovery. Also a 17 year survivor of a very serious eating disorder, she has spent much time re-establishing a healthy relationship with food and reconnecting with natural instinct. She is a Wellesley College graduate and dedicated to the demystifying nutrition and the healing powers of Nature, which are available to all. Currently she lives in Kagel Canyon, CA with her husband Barry and daughter Sophie-Marie.
Dr. Woodrow (Woody) Jackson – Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Jackson is a physician in Philadelphia’s prestigious Main Line. Besides being Chief Medical Officer of Visionary Fitness, he’s also Executive Vice President of a successful medical consulting firm. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has worked in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. He is using the program based on Liberation Fitness™ Principles as a part of bariatric weight loss packages, complementing the weight loss programs offered by bariatric specialists. Dr. Jackson’s interest in developing fitness modules, which bring together evidence-based nutrition and fitness practices with state of the art bariatric techniques, stems from his personal experience with Kevin and the Liberation Fitness™ program.
